Northern Gateway Sports Park provides a Brand new Sports Club building and a new Rugby Club building for Colchester.

We secured this drylining project initially with a good mix of new plasterboard partitions, plasterboard ceiling works, Grid and tile ceilings and acoustic baffle works to the new Northern Gateway Sports Park rugby club building and sports centre built in Colchester just off the A12 for our new client.

Towards the end of our drylining works whilst still on site we were asked if we could pick up and run with the external packages which had been partially started. These were a mixture of timber rainscreen facades some flashings and cappings/ copings and some metal punch windows and curved metal facade cladding works and we saw that this was a great opportunity to show how fabulous we can help to make this building look. The timber paneling works were to be very precise with only millimetre tolerances on a natural product and this was achieved with our fantastic teams of operatives willing to go the extra mile for a quality finish all whilst working off MEWPS and high level access equipment.

We Undertook the project and were almost complete on the drylining package have when we were forced to take a short break because of “the Virus” and the clients team were great and introduced many new processes and strategies to keep our team safe whilst working on site. We only really suffered a little delay and slight slow down to our regular progress and we have completed all works on site now and we are all very proud of our hard work to produce such a great looking building.

The two new buildings will be part of a huge new Northern Gateway Sports Park and complex where local people can come to work out in their new sports facilities and gym equipment, with cyclocross, rugby pitches, football pitches, indoor tennis and badminton courts. you can find more details here.
