Our School Drylining & cladding with SFS works at Brentwood Prep was a new build project of two new classroom buildings in the most prestigious private school in Brentwood. We secured the SFS, Drylining, Rainscreen cladding, acoustic baffles and acoustic ceiling works and begun working on the project.

We first built the SFS around the steel frame creating the gable ends and external walls to both buildings simultaneously along with circular window surrounds for the portal brick windows We then installed insulation breather membrane and brick tie channel and fire breaks where requried in preparation for the bricklayers to commence their works on the particularly detailed external feature brickwork.

This was a really interesting and intricate project for us to undertake due to how we formed some of the external gable end wall parapets on top of the steel frame. Also the circular window details and the internal pitched ceilings on the upper floors which now provide great internal lighting effects for the teachers and pupils at the school and provide an amazing place for young minds to learn, experience and grow.

We worked with coloured fabric baffles to many of the drama, music, main hall and staircase areas and sloped angular ceilings set off the daylight that shines into the windows during the day. We used Knauf plasterboard systems for the internal Drylining works.

The vertical lined two tone colour Rockpanel rainscreen cladding works were carried out towards the end of the contract and now give a striking colour scheme and fantastic looking backdrop to the childrens playground area and covered walkways between the new and existing buildings.

We supplied and installed a number of SAS perforated linear ceiling tiles to some classroom areas too and numerous bulkheads and feature ceiling details for the children to enjoy in their classrooms.

This project was very similar to Hampton Private School, please see here for link.

Brentwood Prep School Drylining & Cladding and SFS project was playful and intricate and as normal we all encountered the normal challenges that any construction project presents along the Journey. Anyone who loves construction knows that what it’s like to enjoy working through these challenges to find practical solutions where we are finally able to provide an end product to the client. This particular project provided a new build educational environment where young children can feel safe and learn and grow with colourful rooms and great new facilities to inspire creativity and joyful learning. We look forward to working on more projects of this type in the coming years.
